HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office reported in a written statement that guerrillas conducted an action targeting the gendarme outpost in Ömerli district of Mardin at 20:00 Thursday evening.

A bomb-laden car parked outside the outpost was detonated, which left 10 soldiers dead and many others wounded. Two watch towers and the main entrance gate of the outpost were destroyed, while the building became unsuable. Casualties were retrieved from the scene with several ambulances after the action which was carried out in retaliation to the military operation in Lice and dedicated to the fighters martyred in Nusaybin.
