According to a statement by HPG (People’s Defense Forces) Press and Communications Centre, actions by guerrillas left 1 soldier dead in Gever, 5 in Dersim territory of Northern Kurdistan and 4 in Barzan region of Southern Kurdistan.
Within the scope of the second phase of the Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş revolutionary campaign, on October 13, at 09.20, guerrillas carried out a targeted action against the occupying Turkish army soldiers deployed on Alişer hill in Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova) district. One soldier was killed in the action.
According to the statement, the occupying Turkish army launched an operation to invade the Barzan region of Southern Kurdistan on September 27. Guerrillas arried out an action against a unit of the invading forces on the Koordine hill in the Adilbeg area. Four soldiers were killed in the action that was conducted at 15:00 on October 13.
On October 13, a Turkish military unit conducting ambush activities around the village of Kale Kündir in Dersim was put under surveillance by the guerrillas. The Turkish unit was then targeted by guerrillas at around 14:00 on the same day. Five soldiers were killed and one other was wounded in the action as Turkish soldiers and their positions were hit effectively.
Following the action, the Turkish forces removed dead and wounded soldiers from the area with civilian vehicles, and indiscriminately bombed the area with Cobra-type attack helicopters.
