HPG released a statement about the Turkish operation in Sapatan ve Serero areas in rural Semdinli, a district of Hakkari province.
According to the statement, Turkish army’s 11-day operation against the guerrillas retreated unsuccessfully. Turkish army suffered heavy losses during the operation.
HPG said, at least 10 Turkish soldiers were killed and 15 were wounded.
Turkish army declared a curfew in Sapatan and Serero which are 2 km away from Semdinli centre. The forests around the area were set to fire by the soldiers and the forest fire continued for a week.
