HPG (People's Defense Forces) Media Center has announced the results of an action conducted by guerrillas against Turkish soldiers that got deployed in Sümbül area of Zagros region affiliated to Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova) district on June 23rd.

Accordingly, a sabotage action aimed at soldiers moving on Xazalkê hill at 07:00 in the morning left 4 soldiers dead and 2 others wounded.

5 more soldiers were killed and 3 others were wounded in another sabotage action by guerrillas at 13:45 during the same day.

Soldiers mobilizing in the area after the guerrillas' actions were also hit, as a result of which 3 soldiers died and 3 others got injured.

HPG said Turkish jets bombed the Bakê village, Tasot area, Kesırkê hill and Xemêzal vicinity following the guerrilla action which was dedicated to Gever martyrs. Turkish outposts in the surroundings also bombed the scene sporadically.
