HPG: 12 soldiers killed in actions by guerrillas
HPG reported that 12 soldiers of the Turkish army were killed as result of actions carried out by guerrillas in the countryside of Bitlis province.

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Centre released a statement providing information about the recent actions by guerrillas and ongoing attacks and operations by the Turkish military.
10 SOLDIERS KILLED IN ŞÊX CUMA
HPG reported that guerrillas carried out a series of actions targeting Turkish soldiers stationed in Kember and Siser foothills in Şêx Cuma area of Bitlis on April 25.
YJA Star guerrillas hit the soldiers here with from two directions. Strikes with RPG-7 weapons from a 15-meter distance left 10 soldiers dead and many others wounded. Following the action, the casualties were retrieved from the scene with 2 Sikorsky helicopters while the area was bombarded by Cobra helicopters. Turkish army later airdropped soldiers at the scene and started an operation which was retreated inconclusively on April 26. Disguised units of the Turkish army remain in the operation area.
2 SOLDIERS KILLED IN HİZAN
HPG noted that Turkish soldiers continue cutting down trees on Milê Evdî hill in Hizan district of Bitlis although village guards that accompany soldiers in this action were previously warned by guerrillas to stop destroying the nature.
At 16:30 on April 26, soldiers engaged in cutting down trees on the hill were targeted by guerrillas in a sabotage action as they went down the hill after continued destruction of the trees here. Two soldiers were killed in the action, after which Turkish forces closed all the roads leading to the scene and started an operation that was retreated without yielding results in the evening hours.
HPG said both actions were carried out in memory of the guerrillas martyred in Garzan.
OPERATION IN DARGEÇİT
In the morning of April 19, Turkish army started an operation in the rural areas of Mardin's Kerboran (Dargeçit) with the participation of 5 thousand soldiers. While soldiers installed cameras in some areas, the operation was retreated inconclusively on April 22.
AIRSTRIKES
At between 13.00-13.30 on April 26, Turkish warplanes shelled Martyr Rüstem area in Zap region of Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory.
At between 07.00-07.30 on April 25, Turkish jets shelled Ertuş area at the border of Hakkari's Çukurca district.
