HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office released a statement about the ongoing actions by guerrillas and operations and attacks of the Turkish army.

HAKKARİ

According to the statement, guerrilla forces carried out actions against the occupying Turkish army in Şemzinan (Şemdinli) and Çelê (Çukurca) districts of Hakkari within the scope of the Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş revolutionary campaigns.

On 13 July, at 01.40, a convoy belonging to the occupying Turkish army, which moved from Hakkari center to Çelê district was targeted by guerrilla forces near Nivoka village. An ammunition-carrying vehicle and a kirpi-type armoured vehicle were destroyed as a result of the effective hits at the close range. Again, the a kirpi-type armoured vehicle in the convoy was damaged. In the action, 16 Turkish soldiers were killed and 14 soldiers wounded.

After the action, the Turkish army bombed the area with cobra-type attack helicopters, howitzers and mortars. The Turkish forces closed the Hakkari-Çele road for a long time in order to remove the destroyed vehicles and dead and wounded soldiers from the area.

On July 13, at 17.30, guerrillas organized an action targeting the Turkish soldiers deployed on the Martyr Mazlum hill in Çelê. Two soldiers were killed as a result of the effective shots. After the action, the Turkish army bombarded the surrounding areas with howitzers and mortars.

On July 13, at 08.20, guerrilla forces carried out an action targeting a military hut belonging to the occupying forces in Hill Çeta in Şemzinan. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in the action could not be clarified.

ŞIRNAK

On July 12, at 12:00, guerrillas carried an action against Fındıkê battalion in Güçlükonak district of Şırnak. Two Turkish soldiers were killed and one other was wounded in this action where the positions in the battalion were shot from two different sides. After the action, Fındıkê battalion and Zıvıngê outpost bombed the action area and its surroundings with howitzers and mortars.

On July 13, at 06.00, the Turkish army bombed Fındıkê area with cobra-type attack helicopters.

OSMANİYE

On July 10, at 12:00, guerrillas organized an action against the occupying Turkish army battalion in Osmaniye, and targeted the commando building, the lodgings and the training area here. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action could not be determined. After the action, the Turkish army launched an operation in the area, and the operation was retreated at the same day without accomplishing any results.

AMED

On the night of July 9, the Turkish army launched an operation in Amed's Farqin (Silvan) and Pasur (Kulp) districts. In the operation Turkish forces raided villages and detained some civilians.

At 09.50 on July 12, guerrilla forces targeted an armoured vehicle of the Turkish army that participated in the operation near the village of Godarnê. The number of soldiers left dead and wounded in the action could not be determined.

In the evening on July 12, the Turkish army operation was retreated from the area without any result.

AIRSTRIKES ON MEDYA DEFENSE ZONES

On July 13, at the noon hours, warplanes of the occupying Turkish army bombed Sate village and Tabura Êreba area in AvaSHin region of the Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan territory.
