HPG Press Office released a statement detailing the ongoing attacks of Turkish military and actions conducted by guerrillas in response.

HPG reported that Turkish troops have been laying ambushes near the village of Xezalkê in Hakkari's Derave Talê area for the past 2 days. Guerrillas hit a troop operating in this area at 15:40 on May 4. One tent was destroyed here, and 3 soldiers inside were killed. Guerrillas also targeted some other tents where soldiers are deployed, but the number of casualties couldn't be verified. HPG added that this action was carried out in memory of the resistance martyrs in Gever (Yüksekova).

Between 11:00 – 12:00 on May 4, guerrillas hit 3 Cobra type helicopters that attacked the surroundings of Çeperê Şêxa hill at the border to Metina area of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory. The helicopters were forced to retreat after the guerrilla action which left one of them damaged.

Between 10:30 – 13:30 on May 4, guerrillas targeted a Turkish troop deployed around the Çeperê Şêxa hill with heavy weapons, but the number of casualties left here couldn't be clarified either.

Between 17:00 – 17:30 on May 4, guerrillas hit the Serbesta outpost at the border of Şırnak's Uudere district but the death toll inflicted on Turkish troops couldn't be made clear.

In other actions with unverified results, guerrillas hit the Amutka outpost in Dersim's Hozat district at 12:30 on May 4, and a Turkish troop stationed around Geniş hill in Hakkari's Şemdinli district on May 3.
