HPG: 34 Turkish soldiers killed in Hakkari

People's Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas carried out actions against soldiers of the Turkish army as part of the Revolutionary Initiative of Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalîn Muş wherein 34 soldiers were killed.
HPG Press Office released the following written statement about the ongoing guerrilla actions:
"As part of the Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalîn Muş Revolutionary Initiative, our forces have carried out some actions against the occupying Turkish army.
HAKKARİ
At 21.30 on July 16, a convoy of armoured vehicles of the occupying Turkish army in Kanî Orê area of Hakkari's Çukurca district was targeted by our guerrilla forces. Our forces destroyed at first a kirpi-type armoured vehicle in the middle of the convoy with a sabotage action. This blow led the convoy to be splitted into two, whereafter our forces continued with hitting the remaining vehicles. A second kirpi-type military vehicle was destroyed immediately with RPG fire. As far as could be determined, 16 soldiers of the enemy were killed and many other soldiers wounded in this action which lasted for around half an hour.
The occupying Turkish army started thereafter to bomb the region of Kanî Orê with howitzers and mortars. The enemy managed to remove their killed and wounded soldiers and vehicle wreckages from the scene 4 hours after the action.
Within the scope of the Revolutionary Initiative, our forces hedged in a contra special unit of the enemy which operates in Hakkari's Esendere area and forces espionage on our youths.
At 10.10 on July 17, the JÖH (gendarme special operations force) soldiers were targeted by our forces during their move from Esendere to Gever, in between the villages of Bilindbasan and Sorya. As a result of the action, one transit vehicle was destroyed while another damaged. As far as we could determine, 18 soldiers were killed and 4 another wounded.
Following the action, the occupying forces removed the casualties from the scene with helicopters, and launched an operation around the village of Bilindbasan.
Within the scope of the same Initiative, our YJA-Star (Free Women's Troops) forces carried out a targeted action against the soldiers of the occupying Turkish army at Bayê hill in the region of Gever's Çarçela at 13.30 on July 16. One soldier of the enemy was killed in this action.
At 14.00 on July 17, our forces carried out an action against the positions of the enemy on Martyr Mazlum hill in Çukurca. The number of dead or injured soldiers couldn't be clarified here.
ERZINCAN
At 19.00 on July 15, our forces carried out an action against a secret unit of the occupying Turkish army near the Derebağ village in Erzincan's Çağlayan town. 2 soldiers of the enemy were killed here and one injured. Following the action, the occupying Turkish army removed their casualties from the scene with helicopters and shelled the region indiscriminately with heavy weapons.
MARDİN
On 9th July the Turkish army conducted an operation in Bagok region of Mardin and airdropped soldiers at the slopes of the hills of Konferans, Martyr Xemgîn, Martyr Bêrîvan and in Navserê hamlet amid ambush activities from the ground. The Turkish army set fire to the fields and crops of the villagers during the operation and obstructed the villagers that headed to the area to put the fire out. On July 17, the Turkish army operation was retreated from the area without any result.
Again, the operation which the occupying Turkish army launched in Omerya region of Mardin on July 7, was retreated without achieving any results on July 10.
AMED
On July 13 at midnight, the occupying Turkish army launched an operation with Cobra helicopters backed up by drones and warplanes in the region of Martyr Serxwebûn in Amed and positioned soldiers at the locations they bombed till 04:00 in the morning. Clashes broke out between our guerrilla forces and the Turkish soldiers soon after their deployment. The number of dead and wounded of the Turkish army could not be clarified.
Four of our comrades who fought heroically in close combat against the Turkish army fell in these clashes.
GUERILLA ZONES
At 20.00 on July 17, warplanes of the Turkish army carried out bombings on Karkeran and Ermuş areas in Xakurke region of the Medya Defense Zones. On the same day at 17.40, aerial attacks were conducted on the slopes of Kurojaro and Şikefta Birîndaran of the Zap region.
