People's Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has provided details regarding the ongoing clashes with Turkish forces and actions by guerrillas.

Accordingly, guerrillas targeted the Turkish soldiers that tried to infiltrate into the Sîsê area in Amed's Lice district in the morning of April 23.

While clashes here lasted around an hour, Turkish jets and helicopters shelled the area where more soldiers were airdropped as the operation was extended to a larger territory. 2 soldiers were killed and 3 others were wounded during the clashes in this area. The operation was retreated at night but disguised contra groups in guerrilla uniforms remain in the area. Local people who rushed to the operation area to act as human shields were attacked by soldiers.

On April 24, guerrillas hit a Sikorsky helicopter operating in the area between Amed and Bingöl provinces. The helicopter was forced to retreat with damage.

At 06:00 on April 24, guerrillas conducted an assassination action aimed at the Zeytê outpost in Rubarok area of Hakkari's Şemdinli district. 1 soldier was killed here.

1 more soldier of the Turkish army was killed in another guerrilla action that targeted the Mamreş outpost in Şemdinli at 05:30 on April 25.
