HPG Media Center issued a written statement on guerilla actions and recent clashes with state forces.

ŞIRNAK

HPG stated that guerillas carried out an assassination action against soldiers positioned at Martyr Kendal Hill on the border of Şırnak’s Uludere district at 11:00 on June 8, and 1 soldier was killed during the action.

HPG guerillas also carried out an assassination action against the soldiers at Sinek outpost on the border of Şırnak’s Uludere district at 15:00 on June 8, and 1 soldier was killed during the action. Turkish soldiers randomly bombarded the area surrounding the outpost after the action.

The Media Center stated that guerillas carried out an action against a digger near the Şehidan Hill on the border of Şırnak’s Uludere district at 17:30 on June 8, and 1 soldier was killed and another was injured during the action. Guerillas carried out another action against state forces positioned around Martyr Lezgin Hill, and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified. Turkish soldiers randomly bombarded the area surrounding Elamun and Aruş outpost after the action.

BİNGÖL

HPG stated that guerillas carried out an assassination action against soldiers at the Haftariç outpost in Bingöl’s Yayladere district at 17:00 on June 8, and 1 soldier was killed and another was injured during the action. Turkish soldiers randomly bombarded the area surrounding the outpost after the action.

BİTLİS

HPG recalled that soldiers had launched an operation in the Nanivan region of Bitlis’ Hizan district at 19:00 on June 7. The Media Center stated that the soldiers withdrew on the night of June 8 without yielding any results, but kept hidden units in the region.

AĞRI

HPG said that the Turkish army launched an operation around the village of Elê in Ağrı’s Gılidağ area at June 8.

AMED

The Media Center announced that Turkish warplanes have been carrying out attacks in Amed over the past 3 days, but have not been able to yield any results.

HAKKARİ

HPG recalled that the Turkish army had launched an operation in the Bezeno region of Hakkari’s Şemdinli district on May 30. HPG stated that one guerilla fell as martyr during this operation.

HEFTANİN

HPG stated that Turkish warplanes bombarded the surroundings of Boxaza Şabanikê and Şilanê village between 22:00 and 22:30 on June 8.
