HPG: 6 soldiers killed in Mardin, 2 guerrillas died in Muş

People's Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM reported in its daily statement that 6 soldiers were killed in Mardin. 2 guerrillas died and 1 other was taken prisoner in Muş. HPG-BIM also provided information regarding the guerrilla action in Bitlis and ongoing aerial strikes on PKK-held Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan territory.
SIX SOLDIERS KILLED IN MARDİN
According to the HPG statement, Turkish military started an operation in Qirdîlek, Dêrîş, Quzerit, Cirzê, Şutê, Qawsan and surrounding villages of Mardin's Savur district at 10:00 on April 15.
Guerrillas conducted a sabotage action against an armored vehicle during the withdrawal of the operation at 18:00 the same day, which left 6 soldiers dead.
Another sabotage action by guerrillas targeted one other armored vehicle but the number of casualties left by this action couldn't be verified.
HPG said these actions were conducted in memory of the martyrs of resistance who fell in Kurdistan towns, in the name of Numan Serhed and Andok Cıbildrê who were martyred in Ömerli.
2 GUERRILLAS MARTYRED IN MUŞ
HPG-BIM continued, providing information about an armed confrontation in Muş. Accordingly, a clash erupted between a guerrilla team and Turkish troop near the village of Avzot in Muş province at 23:30 on April 11. A guerrilla commander by the name of Xemgin Koçer fell fighting here.
Repeated heavy clashes took place between Turkish soldiers and guerrillas in Avareş hamlet of Muş Plain on April 12. While a guerrilla by the name of Bahoz Serhed died here, another one, Mahsum Farqin (Kasım Şanlık), was taken prisoner.
HPG-BIM added that the military operation is also joined by guards from Avzot, Gisan and Nokê villages and continues in the areas of Avzot, Kusrê and Tıxsê villages.

GUERRILLA ACTION IN BİTLİS
HPG-BIM reported another guerrilla action that targeted the Qênexder outpost in Bitlis province at 18:00 on April 15. Guerrillas hit the outpost building, main entrance gate and container, but the number of casualties couldn't be made clear.
AERIAL BOMBARDMENT AGAINST GUERRILLA ZONES
According to the HPG statement, Turkish jets shelled the surroundings of Dêrgelê village in Zap region of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones between 11.45 – 12.45 on April 15. The bombardment by Turkish aircraft damaged the houses and fields of local people.
