HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office reported in a written statement that one major of the Turkish army was killed in an action by guerrillas in Dersim province.

According to the statement, guerrillas conducted a retaliatory action in Dersim yesterday in memory of the recently martyred HPG Command Council Membe Baran Dersim and guerrillas Erdal, Cîlo and Botan.

Guerrillas participating the action hit the Turkish troops conducting an operation in Zargoyit, Arman, Tatan and Demirkapı terrains of Dersim province since September 25.

A Turkish major by the name of Yavuz Sonat, who was leading the operation in Ovacık area, was killed in the action, while the number of other casualties couldn't be verified.

Following the action, Turkish army shelled the area with Cobra helicopters and mortar fire at random.

HPG added that Dersim-Ovacık and Dersim-Erzincan roads remain under the control of guerrillas since August 17.

In Şırnak province, guerrillas conducted a sabotage action against an armored vehicle of Turkish forces at 23:00 on September 25, which left two special operation member dead and two others wounded.

One soldier of the Turkish army was killed in an assassination action conducted by guerrillas against the Birikan guard post in Tatvan district of Bitlis at 14:00 on September 26.

In another action, guerrillas infiltrated into the Gendarmerie Brigade in Güce district of Giresun at 20:40 on September 26.

The action in memory of Martyr Baran Dersim and three other guerrillas targeted the main entrance gate and the main building of the brigade, as a result of which 4 soldiers were killed.

Guerrillas also hit the gendarmerie building with rocket-launcher weapons where 10 soldiers were present, but the death toll couldn't be made clear.

HPG stated that Turkish jets supported by drones shelled the Golka, Qumrê, Boğaza Kani, Dola Kani, Gozê areas and Yekmalê, Xırabê, Şelaze villages in Metina area of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones between 01.00 and 03.30 on September 27.

While the airstrikes caused no casualties on the side of guerrillas, the fields of the local people in the mentioned areas were greatly harmed in the bombardment.

HPG corrected the figure previously announced by their side regarding the results of a clash between guerrillas and Turkish forces on Bingöl-Elazığ road on September 23, saying that 4 guerrillas lost their lives in the mentioned clash, not 7 as they announced yesterday.

The statement also announced the ID of a guerrilla who fell in Geliyê Dostki area of Hakkari's Yüksekova district on September 24.
