HPG actions against Turkish army in Hakkari and Bingöl

The HPG released details of actions carried out before the 24 June election

The HPG Press Centre has released a statement on the latest actions it carried out against the invading Turkish forces. 

Here is the press release in full:

“Within the scope of the Martyr Pîroz and Martyr Agirî Revolutionary Campaign, our forces carried out actions against the invading Turkish army in Hakkari. The details of the actions which were carried out by our forces are as following;

On June 22, our YJA Star forces carried out an action against the invaders on the Xeregol hill in the Çelê (Çukurca) district. Four enemy soldiers were killed in this action where the enemy’s positions were put under intense fire on four arms.

On the same day, at 15.50, our forces targeted the invaders on the Xeregol hill for a second time. Eight positions were destroyed in this action where the enemy hill was effectively struck, and eight enemy soldiers have been identified killed here.

- On June 19, at 15.00, our forces conducted a sabotage action against a vehicle carrying the gendarmerie intelligence team between Çemêheni and Devalan in Bingöl’s Genç district.

The targeted vehicle has been damaged in the action, and four intelligence officers were injured, two of which were heavily injured. The invading forces which then launched an operation in the area withdrew without any results on June 22.

- On June 21, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in the Katır Gülleri area in Erzincan’s Kemah district. The operation is continuing.
