HPG Media Center issued a written statement on guerilla actions and said that 2 soldiers were killed in Hakkari’s Şemdinli district and 1 soldier died in Bitlis during guerilla actions.
HPG stated that guerillas carried out an action against Turkish soldiers positioned at the Geniş Hill of Hakkari’s Şemdinli district and 2 soldiers died during this action. HPG said that guerillas carried out an assassination action against the Qenexder outpost located in Bitlis and 1 soldier died during this action.
In its written statement, HPG said that guerillas carried out an action against the construction site of a road between the Çambulak and Akkurek outposts of Dersim’s Pülümür district at 17:30 on May 20, and destroyed 3 earth diggers, 1 oil tanker, 1 long-truck, 1 sand truck, 2 electricity distributers and 1 storage tent.
HPG announced that guerillas carried out an action against a house where police officers live located in Amed’s Dicle district at 21:00 on May 20, and the numbers of dead and injured officers have not yet been clarified.
HPG stated that Turkish army bombarded the Mêrga and Martyr Hozan hills of Zagros’ Çarçella area with Kobra-type helicopters between 21:00 and 22:00 on May 21, and launched an operation in the Bêzeno and Bêdewê regions of Hakkari’s Şemdinli district on May 18. The operation ended without yielding any results on May 21.
Turkish army warplanes bombarded Medya Defense Zones’ Metina area between 11:00 and 15:00 and Dolê region between 11:00 and 13:30 on May 21.
Local sources report that Turkish soldiers and village guards launched a joint operation in Bingöl’s Hamamlar region.
