HPG Air Defense Units hit Turkish base in Çukurca

The ‘Martyr Delal Forces’ targeted a base of the Turkish army in the countryside of the Hakkari province, northern Kurdistan as part of the “Time for Freedom” campaign.
The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a statement sharing the details of an action carried out by the Şehit (Martyr) Delal Air Defense Units against the Turkish military in the countryside of the Hakkari province.
According to the statement, Air Defense Units targeted the Gire outpost in the Çukurca district of Hakkari province on April 8. The action was carried out as part of the “Dem Dema Azadiyê Ye” (Time for Freedom) campaign.
“The occupiers stationed here were bombed by aircraft with direct hits as the targets were struck successfully,” said the statement.
HPG-BIM also provided information on the latest airstrikes carried out by the Turkish army against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq.
Accordingly, aerial attacks by Turkish aircraft targeted the following locations;
- Surroundings of the Bedabe village in Gare region on April 8, which caused damage on the vineyards and orchards of the local people.
- The area of Karker in Zap region on April 8,
- The area of Hill Orte in Metina region on April 9.
HPG stated that there were no casualties in guerrilla ranks as a result of these bombardments.
