The Press Office of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) had announced on Sunday that guerrilla fighters Argeş and Warşîn had died on August 1 in a Turkish air raid on Mount Gabar in the province of Şırnak in Northern Kurdistan. The identity details of the two fallen guerrillas have been published by HPG Press Office today.
Nom de Guerre: Argeş Koçer |
Nom de Guerre: Warşin Agit |
In memory of the martyrs, the HPG said that the Turkish state interprets all peace efforts of Abdullah Ocalan as weakness and tries again and again to wipe out the guerrilla in Kurdistan. “This plan has failed in the past decades due to the firm will of the fighters. The Turkish state had high expectations of its latest technological means but did not take into account the "reality of the apoist Fedai militants". "The martyrs order us to win and this order is the responsibility of all young Kurds. Argeş and Warşîn have taken up this task and have become leading heroes of the resistance", the HPG said.
Warşîn Agit came from Western Kurdistan (Rojava), Argeş Koçer from Northern Kurdistan, said the statement and continued: "They were born in areas where there is a strong patriotism. Both grew up with the Kurdish culture and the stories of the martyrs. They took to the mountains of Kurdistan to make their dreams come true. In their passionate desire for liberation, they have mounted a legendary resistance against the paramilitary forces of the fascist Turkish state, proving once again the unshakable will of Apoism.”
The HPG expressed their sympathy to the families of the martyrs and the patriotic people of Kurdistan and vowed to continue the struggle until victory.
