The Press Office of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) has published the names of the three guerrilla fighters who died on 13 June in the province of Şırnak in the course of an air-supported operation by the Turkish military in the Çirav area in Gabar region.

Delil Herekol was born in 1991 in the southern Turkish province of Mersin as the child of a family displaced from Northern Kurdistan. There he was first active within the Kurdish youth movement before he decided to take to the mountains in 2009. "He was modest and hardworking and was characterized by a strong militant personality. His love for his comrades has left deep traces,” said the HPG.
Rûhal Amûdê and Şervan Botan joined the liberation struggle from Rojava/Western Kurdistan at different times. HPG described the two fighters as selfless personalities who grew up in an environment with "deep patriotic convictions. The statement said: "Never did they accept the artificial borders that were drawn through Kurdistan by the occupying states. They joined the guerrilla because they knew that the freedom struggle is the only way to end the occupation of Kurdistan.”
