HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office released a statement detailing the ongoing actions by guerrillas against Turkish military targets, as well as the ongoing attacks and operations by Turkish forces.

According to the HPG statement, guerrillas infiltrated into the position of a Turkish troop deployed on Hill Güvenlik in Garısa area of Siirt province at 12:30 of May 31. Two soldiers of the Turkish army were killed in the guerrilla action after which Turkish forces retrieved the corpses from the scene.

In another action at 18:30 on May 29, guerrillas hit a Turkish military unit from two directions in Sümbül area of Zagros region, as a result of which 2 soldiers died and 3 others were wounded.

On May 29, Turkish military launched an operation after spotting a guerrilla unit in the rural area of Dehlebiye village of Şırnak. While the area was bombed with mortars and howitzers, the operation was retreated inconclusively during the night.

In the morning of May 31, guerrillas targeted and damaged several diggers involved in road construction around Leylek Hill in Hakkari's Yüksekova district. The road construction was suspended after the guerrilla action with heavy weapons.

At the night of May 30, Turkish jets bombarded the Bezeno area in Hakkari's Şemdinli district, after which Turkish forces started an operation in the mentioned area. Following clashes between guerrillas and soldiers, the operation was retreated partially.

Between 18.30 and 20.30 on May 31, Turkish warplanes bombarded the surroundings of Bazê village in Metina area of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones. The airstrike caused material damage.

On May 31, Turkish military started an operation in Reşine, Gozıkra and Kever villages located around the Mount Gabar in Şırnak province. The operation was retreated inconclusively in the evening hours.

Turkish military launched another operation in and around the Govik village in Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district on May 30. The operation, during which soldiers searched civilian houses and threatened the locals, was retreated in the afternoon of May 31.

HPG refuted the Turkish media reports on ammunition allegedly seized by Turkish forces from guerrillas in this area, saying these news are fabricated and unreal.

On May 31, guerrillas hit the soldiers laying ambushes near Kledar village of Amed's Lice district, as a result of which 2 soldiers died and 2 others got wounded.

HPG reported that a guerrilla by the name of Deniz Özdemir (Bawer Özgür) fell a martyr during the sabotage action conducted against the Zeyrek outpost in Amed's Kulp district on May 29, the details of which had been announced yesterday.

In another action at 05:00 this morning, guerrillas targeted a Turkish military unit deployed around the Hill Martyr Bawer in Martyr Mizgin area of Bitlis. One position of the Turkish troop was destroyed and 3 soldiers were killed in the action, after which Turkish forces shelled the area with tanks and heavy weaponry. HPG said this action was dedicated to Garzan Martyrs on occasion of the June 1 Initiative.

HPG added that one more Turkish soldier was killed as a result of an assassination action aimed at the Rıclek outpost in Bitlis province in the afternoon of May 31.
