Celebrating the anniversary of the 15 August Initiative, HPG Commander Mazlum Mardin said that there were a few important days like this in the history of the Kurdish people.
Mazlum Mardin added that the 15 August Initiative meant a resurrection for the Kurdish people, adding that the development of the freedom struggle led by Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan was a turning point against oppressive policies.
Emphasizing that the September 12 fascist junta launched a major attack against the revolutionaries in Turkey and Kurdistan, Mardin said that the Turkish state tried all kinds of cruelty to break the will of the Kurdish revolutionaries.
Mardin added that 15 August means the resurrection of the Kurdish people who others wanted to destroy. 15 August gave hope to the Kurdish people.
