HPG: Dozens of soldiers killed in Tendürek

HPG Press Center announced that dozens of Turkish soldiers were killed in the Tendürek Mountain, Ağrı.

The HPG Press Center released statement providing information about guerrilla action and clashes with Turkish soldiers in Tendürek area, and an action in Şemdinli. The statement is as follows:

TENDÜREK

On May 10, at 12.00, between the Gulizerkê Outpost and Hill Zorava in Ağrı’s Tendürek region, our YJA Star forces carried out a sabotage action on a Reo type military vehicle. 2 bomb disposal experts and 8 JÖH (Gendarmerie Special Forces) were killed and 5 others in the vehicle were wounded. The Turkish army carried their wounded to Van with a Sikorsky helicopter and to Gulizerkê with a Kirpi type armored vehicle following the action which was carried out in the name of our comrades martyred in Dersim.

On the night of May 11, the Turkish army launched an operation on the Tendürek area. There were clashes between our forces and the soldiers, and dozens of soldiers were killed. Detailed information will be shared with the public as it becomes available.

ŞEMDİNLİ

On May 11, at 16.30-17.00, our forces carried out an attack with heavy weapons on a group of soldiers positioned in the Mergê territory in Şemzinan (Şemdinli), Hakkari. Simultaneously, our forces hit the Zeytê outpost with heavy weapons. The number of casualties is not certain in this action.
