HPG: Five soldiers killed in actions by guerrillas

Guerrillas carried out actions against the Turkish army in the countryside of Hakkari and Van provinces, North Kurdistan, which left at least five soldiers dead.
People's Defense Forces Media Centre (HPG-BIM) released a statement providing information regarding the continued actions by guerrillas in North Kurdistan.
Accordingly, guerrillas hit a group of soldiers in Oremar region in Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district at 11:00 on April 16. One emplacement was destroyed and 5 soldiers were killed here.
At 14:00 on April 15, a sabotage action by guerrillas targeted a Turkish military convoy on move from Xavışta outpost to Sıngê outpost in Van's Şax (Çatak) district. One armored vehicle in the convoy was destroyed.
While the number of soldiers killed or wounded in this action couldn't be clarified, casualties were retrieved by several ambulances that came to the scene following the action, after which Turkish troops shelled the surroundings.
HPG said this action was carried out to mark the hunger strike resistance in prison.
