HPG guerrilla: Imrali isolation will bring about the end of the government

HPG guerrilla Diyako Kemanger vowed to fight with all their might to ensure the freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Diyako Kemanger, a guerrilla fighter from the People’s Defense Forces (HPG), spoke to ANF on the birthday of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan on April 4.

“We believe that the struggle of the guerrillas and the people will ensure the physical freedom of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan,” Kemanger said.

“We celebrate the 74th birthday of the leader for the martyrs of Kurdistan, the Kurdish people and the peoples of Mesopotamia. The birthday of the leader is the birthday of Kurdistan,” said Kemanger and noted that Öcalan has been held under conditions of aggravated isolation and has not been heard from for two years.

Kemanger stressed that “The Turkish government tried to sustain its ruling through the Imrali isolation which, however, will bring about the end of the government.”

He continued: “As the guerrillas of Kurdistan, we will keep our struggle going to the last drop of blood. The motives of the AKP-MHP government’s execution of strict isolation on the leader and obstruction of talks to this extent should be well understood by everyone. The freedom of Kurdistan depends on the physical freedom of the leader. We confront all forms of technical warfare with all our might. With our commitment to the leader, we promise again to crown victory with his physical freedom.”
