HPG: Guerrillas downed a Cobra helicopter in Çukurca

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office has released a statement on the downing of a Cobra helicopter in Çukurca which the Turkish military said had crushed as a result of an accident.
HPG reported that “a Turkish troop deployed in Aşutê (Çığlı) area of Hakkari's Çelê (Çukurca) district was targeted by a revolutionary operation of our forces at around 04:30 this morning.”
Accordingly, guerrillas downed a Cobra type helicopter, as a result of which many soldiers were killed. Guerrillas also seized some arms of the soldiers killed here.
HPG refuted the Turkish General Staff statement that the helicopter crushed as a result of an accident, adding that more detailed information on this operation later on.
