HPG guerrillas salute the Kurdish and Arab resistance at Tishrin

HPG guerrillas Gabar and Qamishlo stressed that unity is the key to achieving freedom.

HPG (People's Defence Forces) guerrillas are resisting the Turkish army in the mountains of Kurdistan. They saluted the two-month-long resistance of the Kurdish people at Tishrin Dam in Western Kurdistan (Rojavayê Kurdistan).

HPG guerrillas Rûbar Gabar and Demhat Qamishlo reflected on the Turkish state-backed gangs’ attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria since November 27, 2024, and praised the people’s resistance against these assaults. Guerrilla Demhat Qamishlo paid tribute to the martyrs of the Tishrin resistance, emphasizing that this resistance is a true example of a revolutionary people's war.

Our people are greater than death

Guerrilla Demhat Qamishlo said: "I salute our people who are resisting in Rojava and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. I also salute the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the artists who are standing against the enemy’s advanced military technology, including tanks, artillery, and gangs."

Guerrilla Qamishlo added: "We stand behind our people. We are resisting here as well, because we want to be worthy of Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). This is a battlefield. As our people say, we are greater than death. We salute our people, who are stronger than death. We trust them, and we are indebted to them. We fight in the mountains of Kurdistan, while our people resist in the cities against the occupiers. If we join hands, we will surely achieve freedom, because this is a revolutionary people's war. The occupiers may try to intimidate the people, but our people have become human shields everywhere, standing firmly against the Turkish army. This is the truth, and everyone can see it."

The Turkish state seeks to sow discord between Kurds and Arabs

Guerrilla Rûbar Gabar saluted the resistance of Kurdish and Arab youths who are standing against the ISIS gangs deployed on the ground by the occupying Turkish state.

He said: "Our people have been resisting at Tishrin Dam for more than two months. They are setting an example of the Revolutionary People's War. They are standing against the Turkish state’s tanks, warplanes, and artillery. Despite heavy airstrikes, our people have not taken a single step back, and they must not. As an Arab guerrilla fighting in the mountains of Kurdistan, I stand with our people and support their struggle."

Guerrilla Gabar continued: "The Arab people must offer greater support to the Kurdish people; together, with a united spirit, we must achieve our common freedom. Many Arab tribes oppose the rule of the Turkish state, and we salute them. The Turkish state is using special warfare tactics to create hostility between Kurds and Arabs. We call on both peoples not to fall for these games. We are here, standing behind our people, and we are indebted to them. Victory will belong to our people. On this occasion, I extend my condolences to the families of the martyrs and wish a swift recovery to the wounded."
