HPG hits the Turkish army in Sidekan, Hakkari and Şırnak

Guerrillas continue hitting and inflicting deadly blows on the invading Turkish forces in Kurdistan.

People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office released a statement providing information about the most recent actions carried out by guerrillas against the Turkish army in Kurdistan territory.

The statement said the following:

“On October 25, at.09.00, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army positioned on the Eli Dirêj area of Sidekan in Southern Kurdistan.

In this action, where enemy positions were hit effectively, 5 enemy units were destroyed and 14 enemy soldiers were killed. In addition, a drone of the invaders was shot down by our forces. Following the action, the invading Turkish army, which bombed the area randomly with warplanes, carried away dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Sikorsky-type helicopters.

On 25 October, our forces organized three separate actions at 09.00, 10.30 and 12.45targeting enemy units positioned on Xeregol hill in Çelê (Çukurca) district of Hakkari. The enemy positions were put under intense fire by our forces and 3 enemy positions were destroyed and four enemy soldiers were killed.

On October 23, the invading Turkish army launched an operation on the Kurê Keça, Yıldız hill and Gundê Akêt areas on Mount Cudi in Şırnak. On October 24, at 13.00, our forces carried out an action within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign targeting enemy soldiers positioned on Yıldız hill. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in the action. The invading Turkish army w withdrew from the area without any result 2.30 after the action.”
