HPG: Operations in Bazid, bombardments in Şemzinan and Zap

HPG announced that the Turkish army launched operations near Bazid and Mount Tendürek, and bombarded Şemzinan and Zap.

HPG Media Center announced that the Turkish army launched an operation near Bazid’s Mount Tendürek after the failure of its operation in Kağızman. HPG also released information on the Turkish army’s bombardment of Şemzinan and Zap.

OPERATIONS IN BAZID AND TENDÜREK

In its statement, HPG Media Center noted that the Turkish army deployed soldiers in the Çemçê area of Kars’ Kağızman district with Skorsky helicopters on April 1, but withdrew without yielding any results on the same day.

HPG stated that Turkish soldiers also launched an operation in the Demir Kapı and Birnê Ruto areas of Ağrı’s Bazid district on March 30, and withdrew without yielding any results on March 31. HPG also noted that the Turkish army has been carrying out an operation near Bazid’s Mount Tendürek over the past two days.

BOMBARDMENTS IN ZAP AND ŞEMZİNAN

HPG Media Center also gave details on the bombardments in Zap and Şemzinan, and said that Turkish warplanes bombarded the Çemço area of Zap between 18:00 and 18:30 on April 1 and the Tepê Sor and Govendê areas of Zap between 18:00 and 19:00 on the same day. HPG stated that two Kobra-type Turkish helicopters bombarded the Xapuşkê, Dola Sımakokê, Bızertê and Govendê areas of Hakkari’s Şemzinan region between 13:00 and 14:00 on April 1, and one Skorsky-type helicopter deployed soldiers in Xapuşkê.
