The HPG Press Center issued a statement paying tribute to the 3 guerrillas who fell as martyrs in the Medya Defense Areas.

The statement said: “Our comrades Alîşêr Çiya, Reşid Serdar and Amed Mayis fell in the attacks carried out by the colonialist genocidal Turkish state against the Media Defense Areas on May and September 2022. Our comrades Alîşêr, Reşîd and Amed, who have been involved in different fields and duties in our freedom struggle for a long time managed to become exemplary Apoist militants.

Our comrades Alîşer, Reşid and Amed always work and struggle by feeling indebted to their people, and have come to the fore as the bright future cadres of our organization. Our comrades Alîşêr, Reşîd and Amed, who wholeheartedly believe that success in Kurdistan is possible only with a struggle and war along the lines of sacrifice, and who did what was necessary without hesitation, fell as martyrs while fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.

We express our condolences to all our patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially the esteemed families of our comrades Alîşêr, Reşîd and Amed, who will be remembered for their honest and serious participation in the struggle, their warmth in their comradeship and their sincere smiles that they never miss for a moment.”
