HPG (People’s Defense Forces) Shengal Field Command released a statement refuting and condemning the KDP media’s fabricated news regarding the killing of civilian Faris Newaf Mihemed and injury of Xidir Eziz Hesen in Sinune town of Southern Kurdistan, denying any kind of involvement in the incident.

The statement described the KDP media’s news articles as a part of the plan that serves the goals of traitorous powers, recalling that there are no HPG and YJA-Star forces stationed on the mentioned Khanasor-Sinune-Til Mishref line.

The statement by HPG Shengal Field Command said the following:

“Blaming the PKK in an instant without an investigation of the incident, nor getting the opinion of the person injured there, is an effort of self-whitewashing by some circles that are suffused with their own traitorous policies. These abuses will not achieve their goal. This is false information and it is clear that the media organs spreading this news provide no benefits to the common goals of the Kurdish people.

We as the HPG wish the injured person a speedy recovery, and offer our condolences to the family of the slain civilian of ours and the people of Zumar.”
