The Press Centre of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) released a balance sheet providing information concerning the last 3 months of the ongoing war in Kurdistan territory. Accordingly, 1129 actions were carried out by guerrillas and 1528 enemy troops were killed. Numerous military vehicles, including 3 helicopters and 1 tank, were destroyed. Unsuccessful invading troops committed war crimes thousands of times.

The three-month balance sheet released on Friday includes the following:

“The operation of the colonialist, fascist Turkish state to invade South Kurdistan (North Iraq) through attacks on the regions of Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna has completed its third month. The main purpose of these invasion attacks, in which thousands of troops are mobilized and the most advanced NATO warfare is boundlessly used, is undoubtedly to destroy Kurdistan and the Kurds that strike fear into the invaders. The colonial powers that are afraid of the Kurdistan freedom philosophy through which Kurdish leader Öcalan transformed a people on the brink of genocide into a resisting people are trying to destroy our people's hopes for freedom by putting all their means into action.

With their unprecedented practice on the battlefields, the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas who fight selflessly in the face of inhumane and despicable attacks that ignore laws of war have showed the necessary response to the occupation and invading troops. Our guerrilla forces, which represent the self-defence force of our people, have put up unprecedented resistance and created a hope for victory from the first moment of the attacks. Our comrades, who carry out their duties under the most difficult conditions, staked out a claim to the honour of our people and demonstrated once again that no power can destroy the July 14 resistance spirit of the free Kurdish and Kurdistan reality created by leader Öcalan.

In cooperation with the treacherous Kurds, the invading Turkish army, which has bombed the Resistance Areas tens of thousands of times with howitzers, mortars, attack helicopters and fighter jets using the weapons offered by the NATO forces, could not defeat the resistance of our forces and faced a major tactical blockade. Expanding the scope of its invasion operation to overcome the deadlock, the invading army was only able to airdrop troops on July 4, after bombing the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area dozens of times with howitzers, mortars, attack helicopters and 17 fighter jets. As a result of the rapid intervention of our forces, Turkish troops once again received heavy blows in the areas where they landed. Dozens of dead Turkish soldiers remained under the control of our forces who confiscated large quantities of military material and bodies of two soldiers as evidence. Torturing the dead bodies of guerrillas in defiance of all human values, the fascist Turkish army wanted to destroy the evidence of its losses by bombing its own dead soldiers dozens of times with fighter jets and howitzers. Despite all the dirty efforts employed the Turkish army, many corpses of the invading troops remained under the control of our forces for days.

TURKISH ARMY USING THERMOBARIC, PHOSPHORUS BOMBS AND CHEMICAL WEAPONS

Failing to advance against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, the Turkish army is experiencing a debacle. Disregarding the laws of war, the colonial Turkish army bombed the battle positions in the Resistance Areas thousands of times with chemical weapons and explosives. The invading army, unable to get results against our forces despite all these attacks, has finally used prohibited thermobaric and phosphorus bombs against the battle positions.

Our forces carried out many effective actions in the scope of the Bazên Zagrosê and Cenga Xabûrê Martyr Savaş Maraş Revolutionary Campaigns. Our mobile teams carried out numerous coordinated actions by raid, infiltration, sabotage, assassination and ambush tactics, accompanied by the Revolutionary Revenge Operations. Implementing the Revolutionary People's War Strategy during the last three month, the democratic modernity guerrilla of Kurdistan has once again proven its march on the pathway to victory through the position and tunnel warfare style it has developed.

Combining our comrade Zîlan's spirit of self-sacrifice action with the Spirit of July 14 Resistance, the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla has fought in every piece of our holy homeland and frustrated the technologically advanced warfare of the invaders. Hundreds of enemy troops were killed and numerous military supplies were seized in the course of the actions carried out by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. Even though the invading Turkish army mobilized its most elite special forces to get results against our guerrillas, it continued to suffer heavy losses.

Unsuccessful in the face of the outstanding resistance and selfless war style of our forces, the Turkish army violated the international laws of war and committed the heaviest crime by using chemical weapons as well as tactical nuclear and thermobaric bombs 1198 times.

KURDISTAN GUERILLA FOR FREEDOM REPRESENTS THE PATH TO VICTORY

Although the Turkish army carried out hundreds of large-scale attacks in North Kurdistan with the participation of thousands of its troops and counter-guerrillas, it could not get any results. Our Freedom Guerrilla once again eliminated the dirty plans of the invading army with the effective actions it carried out in North Kurdistan during this period.

Our immortal heroes who fought in the spirit of sacrifice until their last bullets have set up an impenetrable barrier against the invaders. 72 of our comrades fell as martyrs in this historic resistance led by our martyrs with serious efforts. The strong will and legacy that our martyrs have created through a selfless fight will guarantee the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla's sacred cause of freedom and march to victory.

The balance sheet of war between April 14 and July 14 is as follows:

1129 guerrilla actions were carried out, which included ambush, infiltration, raid, sabotage, assassination, heavy weapons, skirmish-hit, coordinated guerrilla and revolutionary actions.

A total of 1528 Turkish troops were killed, including 3 counter-guerrillas and 6 high-ranking.
