HPG Media Center issued a written statement and released the ID information of 8 guerillas martyred in Hakkari’s Gever district on May 23. HPG stated that the 8 guerillas were martyred between the villages of Zêvkan and Kertiniz in Hakkari’s Gever district during a conspiracy against them, and state forces seized the bodies of the guerillas with Skorsky helicopters.

HPG stated that the lack of heavy clashes in the area point at the likely possibility of a conspiracy against the guerillas, and emphasized that the perpetrators of this conspiracy would be brought to account for their crime as soon as possible.
