HPG Media Center announced the ID information of the 8 guerillas martyred in Silvan on April 14. HPG also stated that its forces carried out an effective action on a military post between the Kêr and Kaymakam villages near the Şırnak-Siirt border on April 16.

HPG stated that guerillas infiltrated enemy lines surrounding the military post between the Kêr and Kaymakam villages near the Şırnak-Siirt border at 05:00 on April 16, and destroyed one Turkish army position. HPG guerillas also destroyed 1 vehicle carrying army reinforcements, and the number of dead and injured has not yet been clarified.

HPG noted that the Turkish army bombarded the surroundings of the military post after the action with Kobra-type helicopters, and retrieved the bodies of dead soldiers with Skorsky-type helicopters. 2 HPG guerillas, whose ID information will be announced shortly, fell as martyrs during this guerilla action.

8 GUERILLAS MARTYRED IN SİLVAN

HPG Media Center also announced that Turkish warplanes bombarded the Martyr Kawa region located in between Amed’s Hazro, Pasur and Farqin districts between 19:00 and 22:00 on April 14. HPG stated that 6 guerillas that had joined the HPG in 2016 fell as martyrs during this bombardment, and two guerillas named Bager and Zagros were injured and captured by Turkish soldiers, who executed the 2 wounded guerillas. HPG described the Turkish media’s attempts to portray the martyred guerillas as forces responsible for many previous attacks as the disinformation campaign of the Turkish state’s psychological warfare.
