The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement providing information about the most recent actions carried out by guerrillas against the Turkish army.
Full text of the HPG statement is as follows;
“Within the scope of the Martyr Pîroz and Martyr Agirî Revolutionary Campaign, our guerrilla forces carried out an assassination action against the invading Turkish army soldiers positioned on Xwedê hill in Barzan in Southern Kurdistan on the September 13 around 14.30.
One enemy soldier was killed in the action.
On the same day, at 07.15, our forces carried out an action against soldiers on the Xwede hill. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be clarified in this action where enemy positions and shelters were struck effectively.
On September 12, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in the rural area of Yağlıdere district of Giresun. On the same day, at 13.30, our guerrilla forces carried out an action targeting the enemy soldiers searching in the area. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined. Our comrade Çiyager, who fought heroically against the enemy forces, fell a martyr after fighting until his very last bullet. The operation is still underway.
On September 13, at 10:50, the warplanes of the invading Turkish army bombed the area of Çemço in the Zap region of the Medya Defence Zones."
