ACTION IN ŞIRNAK
HPG Media Center announced that guerrillas carried out an action with heavy weaponry against the Seyidan military post in Şırnak’s Uludere district at 16:00 on April 4. HPG noted that the number of dead and injured soldiers has not yet been clarified, and state forces bombarded the area surrounding the military post after the action.
ATTACK ON MEDYA DEFENSE ZONES
In its statement, HPG Media Center noted that 2 Cobra-type Turkish army helicopters bombarded the Martyr Gafur and Martyr Bager hills in Avashin region of Medya Defense Zones between 09:00 and 10:30 on April 5.
HPG stated that Turkish warplanes bombarded the area near Komuta village and Balayan road in Qandil between 21:00 on April 4 and 03:00 on April 5, and damaged local residents’ gardens.
Lastly, HPG announced that guerrillas punished Adnan Duran, a village guard from the Girêmîra village of Mardin’s Nusaybin district who collaborated with state forces and participated in the destruction of a martyrs’ cemetery in the district on April 4.
