HPG reports guerrilla actions in Şırnak and Siirt

HPG reported continued actions by guerrillas against the Turkish army.

People’s Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) released a statement providing information about the most recent actions carried out by guerrillas against invading Turkish troops in North Kurdistan, southeast of Turkey.

The statement reads as follows;

“Within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign, on June 21, at 14.30, our guerrilla forces carried out an action targeting a Sikorsky-type helicopter of the occupying Turkish army in the Fındıkê area of the Gabar mountain in Şırnak.

As a result of the effective hits, the helicopter was damaged and was forced to retreat from the area.

On June 22, at 6:00, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army soldiers positioned on the area between Varkanis and Erbo outposts of Siirt's Baykan district. One soldier was killed in the action where enemy positions and shelters were effectively struck.

On June 22, at 13:00, the warplanes of the occupying Turkish army bombed the Ergenê area of the Gare region in the Medya Defence Zones.”
