HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office reported guerrilla actions in Dersim, Gever and Şemdinli in memory of the 6 guerrillas who fell in Lice recently.

DERSİM

HPG recalled that Turkish military had launched an UAV-supported operation in Xıştan, Derwêşan, Şobek and İbni Mahmut areas of Dersim's Mazgirt district at 20:00 on May 4.

HPG said guerrillas infiltrated into the spot where Turkish soldiers were deployed in Derwêşan area at 12:30 on May 5. A total of 5 soldiers were killed in the guerrilla action which was conducted from two directions. The operation zone and surroundings were shelled by Turkish jets and helicopters after the action.

In the wake of the action which was carried out in memory of Azad Siser and 5 other guerrillas martyred in Amed's Lice district, Turkish troops conducted raids in the surrounding villages and detained many people. The Turkish military operation was retreated inconclusively on May 6.

ŞEMDİNLİ

HPG said another action by guerrillas targeted a Turkish troop deployed around Geniş hill in Hakkari's Şemzinan (Şemdinli) district between 10.00-14.00 on May 6. The number of casualties left here couldn't be verified.

Between 14.00 – 15.00 the same day, Turkish jets bombarded the Martyr Havin area in Şemzinan.

GEVER

According to the statement, guerrillas conducted another action against Turkish soldiers deployed around Leylak hill at the border of Hakkari's Yüksekova district between 10.00 – 16.00 on May 6. The death toll inflicted here couldn't be clarified either.
