People's Defense Forces (HPG) Press Center released a written statement on the guerrilla actions carried out as part of the Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş Revolutionary Initiatives in Gever, in which Turkish military outposts on 3 hills were heavily hit simultaneously.

The HPG statement disclosed the following details:

HAKKARİ

"Within the scope of the Revolutionary Initiative of Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş in Hakkari, our forces carried out extensive actions against soldiers of the Turkish army on the hills of Martyr Tûfan, Martyr Zerdeşt and Martyr Rehîme in Hakkari's Gever district. The enemy took great losses from the actions simultaneously carried out from three fronts.

First our guerrilla forces secured the roadways at the hill Martyr Rehîme and conducted the effective actions after they positioned themselves on the hill Martyr Tûfan. An automatic A4 machinegun was destroyed completely along with the emplacement of the soldiers. As far as could be determined, at least 6 soldiers were killed and many others wounded in this action.

Simultaneously, our forces targeted contruction vehicles conducting road and emplacement works on Hill Martyr Tûfan. As a result of effective hits, 1 soldier was wounded and a bulldozer was damaged.

Our forces hit the Turkish soldiers also on the Hill Martyr Rehîme and as far as we could determine 2 soldiers were killed here.

After the action, the Turkish army shelled the area with howitzers and mortars, and removed their casualties from the scene with civilian vehicles.

AMED

On July 18 at the night, the Turkish army launched an operation in the territory of Reşanê, Mala Gir, Şêlima, Xenûkê, Berbûş and Girê Sor in between Amed's Hezro (Hazro) and Farqin (Silvan) districts, where they conducted ambushing activities. The operation was retreated without any results in the evening of July 20.

At 22.00 on July 19, the Turkish army launched an operation in Kêlê hamlet of Amed's Mount Dorşîn with a back-up of unmanned aerial vehicles and Kobra-type helicopters. After the occupying forces positioned themselves around the villages of Bêhemedê, Çemêzorê, Şêx Hamze and Kanîka, bombardments were conducted with tanks on the surroundings of Bêhemdê village on July 20 around midday.

MUŞ

At 18.30 on July 18, our forces carried out an action against the soldiers of the Turkish army positioned on the hill in between the villages Köşkê and Uruk of Muş. The number of casualties of the Turkish soldiers in this action couldn't be clarified.

DERSİM

At 14.00 on July 19, the occupying Turkish army launched an operation in Harçik Valley of Dersim. On the same day at 17.00, 17.15 and 20.00 the occupying forces conducted bombardments on the slopes of Ağlayankayalar with Kobra-type helicopters. At 23.00 at night, Sikorsky-type helicopters supported with Kobra-type helicopters airdropped soldiers in the hamlets of Mozik, Ağlayankayalar and Uzuntarla. The operation still continues with ambush activities.

On the same day at 19.45, our YJA-Star forces carried out an action against Yatılı Gendarmerie outpost in Pülümür district of Dersim. In this action which targeted the soldiers positioned on the field, 3 soldiers of the enemy were killed while another got wounded.

At 15.50 on July 20, our YJA-Star forces carried out a targeted action against the soldiers in the Kutudere outpost in Dersim, as result of which another soldier was killed.

At 00.00 on July 6, the Turkish army launched an operation with the support of UAVs, warplanes and Kobra-type helicopters in Geliyê Hacê area of Kars' Çemçê region. The warplanes and Kobra-type helicopters bombed the region intensely from 07.00 in the morning until 17.00 in the evening. Five of our comrades fell martyrs as a result of this intense bombardment.

The operation was retreated on July 11.

OSMANİYE

At 12.30 on July 20, our forces carried out a sabotage action on a train which transported armory for the Turkish army in the counrtyside of Düziçi district of Osmaniye. After the action, many construction vehicles were dispatched to the scene to remove the wreckage of the train.

MEDYA DEFENSE ZONES

At between 01:15 and 12.45 on July 20, warplanes of the occupying Turkish army shelled Hill Savaş in the territory of Mount Qandil in Medya Defense Zones.

CIVILIAN MURDERED IN GEVER IS A MARTYR OF FREEDOM

The Turkish state that is suffering a failure against the guerrilla tries to take its revenge by attacking our patriotic people in brutal ways. A most recent example of this truth has taken place in Gever where police forces conducted a house raid in Güngör neighborhood and savagely murdered Necmettin Fendik who was known for his patriotic engagement. The occupying forces displayed with this incident once again their inimical approach towards our people. All our people should express reaction to the fascism of the Turkish state and stand up against such brutal killing of persons like Necmettin Fendik that never bow down. Necmettin Fendik got killed by the enemy in a brutal manner. He is a martyr of freedom."
