HPG reports guerrilla actions in Hakkari and Mardin

Guerrillas continue hitting and inflicting blows on the invading Turkish army in Kurdistan territory.

People’s Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) reported continued actions by guerrilla forces against the invading Turkish army.

The related statement by HPG-BIM said the following;

“Within the scope of the Martyr Pîroz and Martyr Agirî Revolutionary Campaign, on June 30, at 15.00, our guerrilla forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army soldiers positioned on the Leylek hill in Hakkari's Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district.

One enemy soldier was killed in the action where enemy positions and shelters were effectively struck.

Within the scope of the revolutionary campaign, our YJA Star forces carried out an assassination action targeting the invading Turkish army soldiers positioned on the Haruna hill in Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district on the same day at 19.20 hours. In the action, one enemy soldier was killed.

Within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign, our YJA Star forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army soldiers positioned on a hill providing the security of the Ilısu dam near the village of Deywan in Mardin's Kerboran (Dargeçit) district on June 29, at 21:30. Two enemy soldiers were killed in the action where all the positions on the hill were put under intense fire.

Contras cutting trees in the woodland near the village of Koley in the Xaçareş area of the Mutki district of Bitlis were targeted by our forces on July 1 at 12:00. The number of dead and wounded contras could not be determined in this action.”
