HPG Press Office reported that guerrillas conducted effective actions in response to Turkish military's ongoing fascist attacks in Kurdistan.

HPG announced that a number of Turkish soldiers were killed in actions carried out by guerrillas in Çukurca, Uludere and Amed. The daily statement by HPG also provided information regarding the ongoing operations of the Turkish army in Amed, Bitlis, Kars, Şırnak and Bitlis.

HAKKARİ

HPG said guerrillas conducted an action against the Eriş outpost at the border of Hakkari's Çukurca district at 11:00 on April 30th. The outpost building was hit with heavy weaponry and the soldiers on move around were also targeted and shot. HPG said they couldn't verify the number of casualties that Turkish forces removed from the scene with armored vehicles before bombarding the area with howitzer and mortar fire.

ŞIRNAK

According to the HPG statement, guerrillas conducted another action against Turkish soldiers as they gathered in Hill Sinek outpost at the border of Şırnak's Uludere district at 11:20 on April 30th. Guerrillas also hit a bulldozer working in the road construction around the outpost at 13:00 the same day. While the road construction was suspended after the guerrilla action, the number of casualties left here couldn't be clarified either.

ULUDERE

In another action by guerrillas, 1 soldier was killed while on move towards near Aşutê village at the border of Şırnak's Uludere district at 11:20 on April 30. Guerrillas also hit a Turkish troop in the area but the number of casualties couldn't be verified.

AMED

One other action by guerrillas targeted the Hêgasor (Topçular) outpost in Amed's Hani district at 18:20 on April 30th. While guerrillas hit an emplacement, the outpost building and the entrance gate, one emplacement was destroyed, as a result of which 3 soldiers here died. Turkish troops shelled the area with heavy weaponry after the guerrilla action.

HANİ – KOCAKÖY

HPG reported that Turkish army started an operation in Martyr Rojhat area between Hani and Kocaköy territory of Amed on April 27th. While the operation still continues, a curfew was declared in the villages of Şaqlat, Qadışê, Gaban, Tilitin, Hurê, Hewrê and Zara.

BİTLİS

Turkish military launched an operation with the participation of village guards in Martyr Mizgin area of Bitlis on April 30. Guerrillas noticed and hit a disguised Turkish troop, which left 1 soldier dead, while they also damaged an armored vehicle belonging to contra groups mobilized in the area.

Between 20.30 – 21.00, Turkish troops shelled the Olek hamlet at random.

KARS

HPG said Turkish military started another operation in Çemçê area in Kağızman district of Kars province on April 25th. While intense clashes have taken place in this territory, connection has been lost with a guerrilla unit in the area. HPG added that detailed information on the operation will be announced once available.

ŞIRNAK

According to the HPG statement, Turkish jets bombarded the Xirbikê Bestê hamlet in Şırnak's Besta region at between 18.30 – 19.00 on April 29th and at 03:00 on April 30th.

HAKKARİ

HPG reported that 2 helicopters of Turkish military shelled Martyr Rahime area at the border of Hakkari's Yüksekova district between 22.00 – 23.00 on April 30th. Guerrillas hit both helicopters with heavy weaponry and forced them to retreat from the area.
