HPG reports guerrilla actions in Yuksekova

Guerrilla forces are inflicting further blows on the Turkish military in Kurdistan territory.

People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office released a statement detailing the actions carried out by guerrillas against the invading Turkish army within the scope of the Martyr Agirî and Martyr Pîroz Revolutionary Campaign.

The details of the actions carried out within this scope are as following;

“On September 14, around 07.00, our YJA Star forces carried out an action targeting the invading Turkish army positioned on the Martyr Gafur hill in Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action where the enemy’s positions and shelters were effectively hit could not be determined.

On the same day, at 07.10, our forces once again carried out an action against enemy soldiers positioned on the Elişêr hill in Gever district. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action where the enemy’s positions and shelters were effectively hit could not be determined.

On September 12, the invading Turkish army launched a large-scale operation in the Martyr Kendal area of Amed (Diyarbakır). This operation was withdrawn without any results on September 15.”
