The HPG Press Centre has released the following details in a statement.
“As part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign in the Avaşîn region:
On July 29, at 16:20, an action was carried out with heavy weapons against the Turkish troops in the Girê Silêman area. The targets were hit accurately.
The invading Turkish state, which failed to get results in the face of the historic resistance of our forces and suffered serious blows as a result of guerrilla countermoves, has started to carry out intense air strikes against Medya Defense Zones. In the meantime, gardens and civilian settlements have severely been damaged. Turkey disseminates false information through its media outlets. We suffered no casualties during these attacks.
The details of the Turkish attacks are as follows:
On July 29, between 11:40 and 17:30, the battle tunnels in the Girê Sor area of the Avaşîn region were bombed by the invading Turkish army.
On July 29, between 23:30 and 00:30, Turkish helicopters flew over the Qaşura line of the Metîna region.
On July 29, at 00:00, the Saca area of the Zap region was bombed by fighter jets.
On July 29, between 01:15 and 01:30, the Desta Kafya area in the Garê region was bombed by fighter jets.
On July 29, between 01:22 and 01:25, the Bilmendê villages in the Bergarê region of the Amadiya district were bombed by fighter jets.
On July 29, between 12:30 – 13:40 and 22:45 – 00:45 at night, Girê Zergelê, Dola Zergelê, Girê Savaş, Dola Şehîdan, Girê Hîwa, Geliyê Balayan, Girê Balayan, Dola Bedranan, Bepalan areas in the Qendil region and the villages of Sûredê, Gilgameş, Dereşê and Berdeqaşo were bombed by fighter jets.
The Turkish assault caused material damage in the property and gardens of our people and the fires in the land are still continuing.”
