SIKORSKY HELICOPTER DAMAGED IN YÜKSEKOVA
Guerrillas conducted an action against Sikorsky helicopters heading from Hakkari's Yüksekova district to Bezelê guard post at 22:20 on September 24. One helicopter was damaged in the action after which Turkish troops at Bezelê post shelled the surroundings with tanks, howitzers and mortars.
Turkish troops at Şinozın and Grê Geryan guard posts shelled the border area near Zap region of Medya Defense Zones during a guerrilla unit's return from duty in the afternoon of September 23. Following a short-lasting clash at around 18:00, guerrillas arrived their base safely.
ACTION IN BEYTÜŞŞEBAP
In response to the increasingly ongoing activities and attacks of the Turkish army in Botan region, guerrillas conducted a comprehensive action in Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak on September 24, in which they hit the military targets in and around the district as of evening hours. Following the destruction of many areas of deployment, Turkish army conducted an intense bombardment on the scene of the actions and the positions taken by guerrillas.
As heavy clashes around the district center continue, details from this area will be released later on.
5 SOLDIERS KILLED IN GABAR
In another comprehensive action against Gırê Cotyar brigade in Gabar area at 12:45 on September 24, guerrillas hit the soldiers and vehicles deployed in the emplacements of the guard post with heavy weapons.
5 soldiers were killed and one other was wounded, while an armored vehicle and a tank was damaged in the action which was carried out in memory of recently martyred HPG commander Baran Dersim. Turkish troops shelled the area till the morning of September 25.
HPG denied any kind of involvement in the murder of two youths in Derik district of Mardin, the blame of which is being tried to be put on guerrillas.
ONE GUERRILLA MARTYRED IN SARIKAMIŞ
A guerrilla unit was ambushed by Turkish soldiers on their way back from duty in Karabaş hamlet in Sarıkamış district of Kars at 22:30 on September 20. One guerrilla fell a martyr in the wake of a gunfight here.
HPG refuted the Turkish media reports that 3 guerrillas were captured wounded here, adding that the ID details of the martyred guerrilla will be announced later.
In another action, guerrillas ambushed an armored vehicle of the Turkish army on its way from Karınca guard post to Şenkaya to at 14:30 on September 24. The death toll left by the action couldn't be clarified.
Guerrillas hit a Sikorsky helicopter about to airdrop soldiers on Hill Zargê in Lice-Karas(Kocaköy)-Hani triangle of Amed at 07:25 this morning, which was forced to leave the area without completing the mission. Turkish forces shelled the scene at random after the action.
TWO ARMORED VEHICLES HIT IN DERSİM
An action by Martyr Baran Avenge Team targeted two armored vehicles near Batman neighborhood of Dersim at 07:45 on September 24. Both vehicles were damaged in the action with rockets, but the number of casualties couldn't be verified.
Dersim - Ovacık and Dersim – Erzincan roads remain under the control of guerrillas since August 17.
ARTILLERY ATTACK ON GUERRILLA AREAS
HPG said troops at Şıtaza guard post in Şemdinli district of Hakkari bombed the areas of Dola Ştaza and Binbir between 09.00 – 11.00 on September 24.
Serbesta guard post at the border to Metina area of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones shelled Kuro Şino area between 22.00 – 22.30 on September 24.
TURKISH JETS BOMBED GELİYÊ DOSTKİ
Turkish jets bombed the Geliyê Dostki area in Yüksekova district of Hakkari between 12.00 – 15.00 on September 24.
