People's Defense Forces (HPG) Press Center released a written statement on the guerrilla actions carried out as part of the Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş Revolutionary Initiatives in Hakkari, and the Martyr Azad Farqin and Martyr Jinda Özgür Revolutionary Initiatives in Amed and Bingöl provinces.

The HPG statement disclosed the following details:

HAKKARİ

“Within the scope of the Revolutionary Initiative of Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş in Hakkari, our forces carried out actions against Çemê Kurkê and Mawa outposts in Hakkari's Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district at 06.30 on July 17. While guerrillas hit the positions of the enemy effectively, the number of dead and wounded soldiers in the action could not be clarified.

At 00:00 on July 16, the occupying Turkish army launched an operation in the territory of Kola village and the hills Direk, Harûna and Astenga Reş in Hakkari's Şemznan district. At 20.30 on July 17, the operation was retreated without any results.

AMED

Within the scope of the Revolutionary Initiative of Martyr Azad Farqîn and Martyr Jinda Özgür, our forces carried out actions against the Turkish army in Amed and Bingöl.

At 05.00 on July 18, our forces conducted an action against a battalion of tanks in the region of Amed's Pîran (Dicle) district. The enemy positions were hit effectively and as far as we could determine 4 enemy soldiers were killed and one wounded in this action.

After the action, forces of the Turkish army launched an operation in the region which they retreated on the same day without any results.

BİNGÖL

At 19.30 on July 18, our forces carried out an action targeting enemy positions at the Karer outpost in Bingöl's Adaklı district. As far as could be determined, one Turkish soldier was killed in this action.

DERSİM

At 18.15 on July 17, our forces carried out a targeted action against soldiers of the Turkish army based in Kırmızıköprü outpost in Dêrsim's Pülümür district. One soldier was killed in this action.

BİTLİS

On July 16, the occupying Turkish army launched an operation in Şêx Edîp region of Bitlis with the support of village guards and contra units. The operation continued with ambushing activities on Mezrê and Kolanıs slopes and around the Dêlik village. Our forces encountered and engaged in an armed confrontation with a unit of the operational force near the bridge of Dêlik. The number of casualties inflicted on the enemy in this clash couldn't be clarified.

After their failure to enter the area from the ground, the occupying forces carried out an intense bombardment on Dola Kember and Dola Ziza areas with Cobra-type assault helicopters and fighter jets supported with unmanned aerial vehicles on July 17.

During the course of the operation, two of our guerrilla fighters who fought bravely against the Turkish army fell in these clashes. The operation was retreated without any results at 13.30 on July 18 .
