In its daily statement about the war in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq), the Press Centre of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) said, "The freedom guerrillas of Kurdistan continue their epic resistance against the occupation attacks of the Turkish colonial army. The fascist Turkish state is unable to achieve results in the face of the invincibility of the Apoist will in the resistance areas and continues to commit war crimes through the use of banned bombs and chemical weapons. Through its special war media, it spreads false reports of victory and engages in propaganda to hide the stagnation in its operation against the guerrillas. Despite all these dirty methods of war, the guerrillas continue their march for freedom with great conviction, willpower and determination."
