HPG reports ongoing Turkish attacks with chemical weapons and banned bombs

In its daily overview of the war in Kurdistan, the Press Centre of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) reported that the Turkish army used banned bombs twice and chemical weapons twice against guerrilla positions in the Zap region on 26 December. At the same time, the Turkish army carried out nine waves of attacks by fighter jets on Metîna and Gare and dozens of attacks with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons.
At 3.30 p.m. on Monday, soldiers of the Turkish invading forces were struck by guerrillas in Çemço in the Sheladize town when they tried to burn car tires and plastic waste in front of the resistance positions of the guerrillas. One soldier was killed in the sabotage action.
On the other hand, HPG reported two attacks by the Turkish army with chemical weapons on guerrilla positions in Çemço. The guerrilla positions near the village of Sîda and the Çemço region were attacked twice with unconventional bombs. At the same time, the Çemço region was shelled dozens of times with howitzers, mortars, tanks and heavy weapons.
On the same day, Gundê Dêrikê, Gundê Bilindbazê and Gundê Sêdarê in Gare and Girê Çarçel in Metîna were bombed nine times by fighter jets.
