The Turkish army attacked guerrilla positions near the village of Sîda in the Zap region of Southern Kurdistan twice on Friday with unconventional bombs. Attacks with howitzers, mortars, tanks and heavy weapons on Sîda and the Çemço area took place at the same time, announced the press centre of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) in its daily overview of the war in Kurdistan. Sîda and Çemço are located in Sheladize near the town of Amadiya, which is ten kilometres from the Turkish border and administratively belongs to the Duhok governorate.
In their daily overview, the HPG also reported artillery attacks on Geliyê Lolan in the Xakurke region and a total of five air attacks on Gundê Sarkê in Gare, Golka in Metîna and Girê 23 in Qandil.
