People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Central Headquarters Command issued a congratulatory address to the YPS (Civil Defense Units) General Coordination for their resistance against the AKP regime on April 15-16. HPG praised YPS members for their courage and tactical skills against genocidal occupation forces.
‘CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MILITANTS THAT CARRIED OUT THE ŞIRNAK ACTION’
In its address, HPG saluted the YPS resistance led by the youth of Kurdistan against the AKP regime’s genocide, and congratulated the YPS militants that carried out the effective action in Şırnak on April 15-16. HPG praised YPS members for their courage and tactical skills against Turkish forces and said that YPS was not alone in the struggle for democratic autonomy. HPG stated that it would always be a part of the historical resistance against the brutality of colonialism and fascism, and said that the defense of democratic autonomy in Kurdistan was also the struggle for freedom and democracy.
‘YOUR RESISTANCE CREATES VALUES FOR HUMANITY’
Lastly, HPG Central Headquarters Command stated that the resistance of YPS in Sur, Cizre, Nusaybin, Gever and Şırnak created values for humanity, and wished success to the YPS in its historic resistance.
