Six soldiers of the Turkish army were killed on Sunday as guerrillas struck Turkish occupation forces in the region of Heftanin in Southern Kurdistan. According to the Press Office of the People's Defense Forces (HPG), the unit leader of the attacked soldiers is among those killed in the action which was carried out on Hill Xaç in the Xantur region as part of the guerrilla offensive "Cenga Heftanin".
Şilan Polat is alive
On the other hand, HPG denied the reports that Şilan Polat from Hakkari province has died, saying that this lie, told by state officials to the family of Polat, "is only another special war method of the colonialist Turkish state.”
