The invading Turkish army received heavy blows from the HPG/YJA Star guerrillas and had to replace its troops in Kela Bêdewê in the Zap region last night.
The Press Centre of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement providing information on the latest guerrilla actions and Turkish attacks in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).
The statement released on Tuesday includes the following:
“Following the intense and effective actions carried out by our forces, the occupying Turkish army had to replace its forces in Kela Bedewê in the Zap region using helicopters last night (March 28). Effective actions developed by our forces which introduced the new era of guerrilla warfare, will continue uninterruptedly.
On March 28, at 11:30, the Werxelê area in the Avaşîn region was bombed by Turkish fighter jets.
On March 28, at 11:20, the vicinity of the Lolan River in the Xakurke region was bombed twice by Turkish fighter jets.
On March 28, between 20:00 and 21:00, Turkish helicopter activity was reported in the Mervanos area in the Avaşîn region. During the same time, the Banista area was bombed by Turkish attack helicopters.”
