The Yazidis in Çemmişîko Camp in Zakho district, which is under threat, and many other camps in Duhok and Zakho abandoned their tents and started to flee towards Shengal.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of Shengal called on Iraq to take urgent security measures, stating that the Yazidis in the camp are under great threat.

The Autonomous Administration also called for the urgent opening of the Faysh Khabur (Kr: Pêşxabûr) Border Crossing for Yazidis.

While KDP officials are forcing Yazidis to stay in the camps, families trying to flee to Rojava through Faysh Khabur Border Crossing are prevented by KDP forces. It is reported that there is a big backlog at the border crossing at the moment.
