The hunger strike launched by the prisoners’ families in DBP Amed branch office to support and draw attention to the ongoing hunger strikes in prisons is on its second day.
Families of political prisoners on hunger strike, administrators and members of DBP (Democratic Regions' Party), HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party), TJA (Free Women's Movement) and DTK (Democratic Society Congress) launched a hunger strike yesterday following a press conference held in Amed branch office of Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) .
The hunger strike will alternate every 2 days and will continue indefinitely. 20 people who started yesterday are on day 2. Through the day and night, citizens visited the DBP to support the hunger strikers. With the first morning hours, visitors started coming to the building to show support and increase the resistance.
